South Wales Police have confirmed that one of the people involved in the paddleboarding tragedy that took place in Haverfordwest was a serving police officer.
A group of nine paddleboarders, believed to all have come from out the county, got into trouble on the weir in Haverfordwest on the morning of Saturday, October 27.
Three have died and one remains in critical condition, with the other five having been rescued.
South Wales Police have confirmed that one of the people involved in the incident is a serving officer under their force.
A spokesperson for said: “First and foremost our thoughts are with the families of all those involved in this tragic incident.
“We can confirm that one of the people involved is a serving South Wales Police officer.”
