The search and rescue mission is being co-ordinated from the Quay Street area of the county town, which has been closed off since earlier this morning.

Helicopters from the Wales Air Ambulance Service have been seen landing on the skatepark adjacent to County Hall and a Coastguard Rescue Helicopter has been overhead and searching down river.

One of the air ambulances has recently left the area.

At least five ambulances have been sighted at the scene.

Angle lifeboat has also been launched to join the search, and is heading up the Western Cleddau in the direction of Haverfordwest.

The river is running high and fast following the heavy rain overnight.
