A new climate fund, using money generated by a community wind turbine, will soon be offering grants to groups, organisations and small businesses in the north Pembrokeshire area.
Transition Bro Gwaun's Community Climate Fund will support those who have the skills and vision to set up practical climate action projects.
Applicants don't need to be experts in climate or environmental issues - just groups of local people with a great idea and entrepreneurial drive.
Transition Bro Gwaun (TBG) is able to provide these grants, using the income from their community wind turbine.
The turbine has been producing clean, green energy for the past seven years and, having repaid the majority of the establishment loans, TBG can now start honouring their promise to the community to use the income for community and environmental benefit.
Applications to a pilot scheme will be invited early in 2022 and from 2023 grants will be offered annually.
If you would like to find out more TBG will be holding information sessions at Ocean Lab, Goodwick, on Friday October 29 and Friday November 12 from 11am to 3pm.
You can also visit TBG's stall at the Farmers Market in Fishguard Town Hall any Saturday from 9.30am - 12noon.
