A couple who took on the Carten cycle ride on their tandem have raised £530 for the Pembrokeshire branch of Guide Dogs Cymru.
Michael and Penny Davies from Hook chose the charity to benefit from their Cardiff to Tenby ride as Penny has both visual and hearing impairments.
Over the last ten years, she has enjoyed the help and support of her guide dog Jayjay, who sadly passed away a couple of months ago after not recovering from an operation.
The money was raised by sponsorship for the tandem ride and donations from Penny's work colleagues.
She handed over the magnificent sum to her friend Eva Rich, secretary of the Pembrokeshire branch of Guide Dogs Cymru, nd her guide dog Nancy.
The two ladies were delighted to meet up for the first time in around two years.
The money will help the Pembrokeshire branch with their celebration of the 90th anniversary of the first four guide dogs being trained in the UK.
Eva said: "A huge thank you to Penny and Michael for such a wonderful donation.
"The Branch has been holding fundraising stalls on Saundersfoot Harbour throughout the summer and wish to thank all the kind people who have supported during 2021.
"One or two store collections are planned, together with a coffee morning at the Boathouse, Saundersfoot, on November 17, when we look forward to seeing friends old and new."
