THEY cheered us up during the first lockdown and now the Maenclochog scarecrows have taken a spooky twist, as dozens of frightfully ghastly ghouls, witches and pumpkin kings and queens decorated the village and surrounding areas this Hallowe'en.
Original plans to hold a haunted woods drive through in the village and raise money for charity had to be shelved due to the firebreak lockdown but the enterprising community managed to maintain the spooky spirit by creating a myriad of scary scarecrows.
