IT'S NOT every day you see a chain of bras blowing in the breeze in Haverfordwest town centre.
But on Saturday, March 9, shoppers were treated to this unusual site, thanks to members of Soroptimist International.
Around 20 women stretched an enormous chain of brassieres across the Cleddau River
Bobbie Sheldrake said: "We decided to do something to mark International Women's Day.
"Last year we held a chain of scarves across the Cleddau Bridge but this year we thought we would do something different - and what's more iconic of women's experience than bras?
"We have been overwhelmed with donations of bras which will be sent to women in Africa."
Bobbie thanked Soroptimist International members, and supporters from other local groups.
"It's been so nice to see so much about International Women's Day in the media this year," said Bobbie, who also brought her young granddaughter - "one of the women of the future" - with her for the event.
