A DISTRAUGHT family is offering a £500 reward for the return of its beloved dog suspected to be stolen from the Mathry area.
Female husky cross Lola has lived with Sophie Hurst's family at Preseli Venture, Mathry, since she was a pup.
She was last seen on Monday, January 28, in the Mathry/ Abermawr area. She was taken by friends for a walk on Abermawr beach in the morning and then returned to the family home. It is thought she might have been spooked by building noise in the afternoon.
The last positive sighting of her was in the Mathry/ Abermawr area on the same afternoon.
"She means so much to us" said Sophie. "She is a much-loved family pet.
"We've had no sightings of her for more than a week which is very strange. She could have well been stolen. It's entirely possible that she's nowhere near Pembrokeshire."
Lola is chipped and spayed and was wearing a red collar when she was last seen.
"We are just doing everything we can to find her at this stage," said Sophie. "Thank you to everyone who has helped so far and we will be really grateful for any other help."
A Facebook group, Finding Lola, has been set up to post any news or updates.
If you have any information about Lola's whereabouts, ring Sophie on 07970 042574 or 01348 837709.
