PEMBROKE Dock police officers are investigating a number of reports of stolen vehicles and thefts of property from inside unlocked vehicles, in the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock areas.
The thefts have taken place over the past two weeks.
Detective Constable Phil Jones, Dyfed-Powys Police, said: “Unfortunately there are criminals around who take advantage of trusting people, and recently we have seen a spate of stolen vehicles, and thefts of property from inside vehicles. The link between these reports is the vehicles were all unlocked at the time.
“My advice is to double check you have locked your doors, even if you are leaving the car a short while, and never leave valuables on show - take them with you or lock them out of sight in the boot.”
Anyone with information which could help police with their investigations is asked to call Pembroke Dock Police Station on 101, or anonymously report it to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111. If you are Deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired text the non-emergency number on 07811 311 908.”
