OVER £3,500 has been raised for Prostate Cymru as a result of a charity concert given in Llanboidy by Cor Meibion de Cymru - the South Wales Male Choir.
The concert, at The Market Hall in the village, was organised by Gwynlais and Mary Phillips.
They have now presented the grand total of £3,562 to Ian Gravell, representing the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru.
At the October concert, the choir performed a varied programme to a full house.
The evening was compered by Emyr Jones and also featured soloists Catrin Aur, a multi-award winning soprano from Carmarthenshire; Powys tenor Aled Wyn Davies, who is one of the Three Welsh Tenors and baritone Iwan Wyn Parry from Gwynedd.
The finale of the concert featured the choir and soloists perform the famous Welsh hymnal tune, Morte Christe, which received a standing ovation.
The Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru was formed in 2014, and since then, has raised more than £180,000, alongside developing a prostate cancer awareness programme.
The group also fully funds the specialist training for the DaVinci Robot at the Heath Hospital, Cardiff, which has been of benefit to over 140 men from Pembrokeshire and south west Wales since its inception in 2015.
