POLICE are appealing for information following a catalogue of antisocial behaviour, drinking and vandalism at Pennar’s Scout hall, Treowen Road.
Fundraiser for 1st Pembroke Haven Scouts Jackie Hoadley said: “We've had stones thrown at the building, people jumping over the top of the fence and making fires in the fire pit at the back of the building, and vodka bottles left on the grounds.”
Even worse, the hard work of young Beaver Scouts has been ruined by mindless vandals.
“The Beavers, which are aged between five and eight put their greenhouse together, we put it outside, and they were very proud of it; a few days later it was smashed up in the garden, which is heart-breaking for them as they are working towards the gardening badge, and we want to do a garden project with the children, but don't want to start it in case it all gets smashed up.”
Dyfed Powys-Police stated: “Over the last few months person/s unknown have been congregating within the grounds of the Scout Hall in Pembroke Dock, empty bottles of alcohol have been left behind, and damage is being caused.
“The most recent damage being that over the last week, whereby a plastic greenhouse that had recently been erected for the Scouts and Beavers to grow vegetables has been completely destroyed and now no longer fit for purpose.”
Anyone with any information, contact PC 740 Nicola Hughes at Pembroke Dock station on 101.
