LITTLE Haven locals have banded together to take care of one mid-Pembrokeshire’s well-known coastal beauty spots.
Being concerned with the amount of litter and toxic waste (particularly plastic) in the seas and on the coastline, concerned residents have formed at group at Little Haven called The Guardians, who are clearing the beaches at the Sheepwash, Little Haven and Settlands.
Anyone wishing to help the group clean this part of Pembrokeshire can contact The Guardians via their Facebook page Little Haven Beach Guardians.
Concern about the amount of plastic in the sea has grown in recent months, following the epilogue of the popular BBC programme Blue Planet 2.
David Attenborough took the opportunity to speak movingly about the effect of man-made materials on the natural world.
Since then, awareness of the harm plastic can cause on ocean-going animals and plants has grown, with Aberporth in Ceredigion starting a campaign to become the first plastic-free town in all of Wales.
