DO you think you have the skills to survive a zombie apocalypse?
The new owner of Newgale Lodge is offering you the opportunity to pit your wits against rabid corpses with a unique training weekend on Friday, May 13.
Upon arrival you will be briefed of a deadly virus, dubbed ‘The Rage’, which has spread from a nearby base and has resurrected the dead from beyond the grave. It is highly contagious and the entire country is on lockdown.
You must survive the night in your bunkhouse, while acquiring intelligence, weapons and supplies that will help you escape and find the nearest survivors’ camp.
Following further training exercises in the morning, you will venture into the forest to locate clues. Here you will spend the next few hours engaged in a paintball battle with the zombies.
You will also have to outwit the rogue survivors who will be in the forest with you trying to find the same clues.
“We’re really excited about the weekend,” said Arron Evans, a marketing assistance with the Development Company.
“We wanted to do something a bit different and when zombies came up in the conversation that was it.
“We have 14 actors ready for the event and are getting more, so for every one person taking part there will be two zombies.”
The Development Company purchased Newgale Lodge last May after Newgale YMCA went into administration.
It offers bespoke residential training courses to companies across the UK, taking people away from traditional boardroom power point presentations into the great Pembrokeshire outdoors, with activities such as coasteering, high ropes, kayaking and abseiling.
The lodge has two bunkhouses and the main White House, which together can cater for 44 people. To find out more and to book a place on the zombie apocalypse weekend, click here.
