A RESIDENTIAL home for adults with learning disabilities has won an award for an eco-friendly plan.
Clients and staff at Pen-y-Coed Mansion, St Clears, collected enough plastic bottles to build a greenhouse to help them with their work in the vegetable garden.
They have been given second place in the environmental awareness competition run by care charity Perthyn, which owns the home.
The award is to encourage people to look after their environment and recognises the achievements of those who have taken a keen interest in sustainability.
The awards have been sponsored for another year by SET Office Supplies.
