A Pembrokeshire painter, who has gone back to university to hone her skills, has been named as an artist to invest in by The Independent on Saturday's Money section.
Michaela Hollyfield from Fishguard is studying for a Masters in Fine Art at Aberystwyth University.
During a two week graduate and post graduate exhibition Michaela's work was spotted by Sarah Ryan from New Blood Art, an online gallery showcasing original art by emerging artists
Michaela was invited to exhibit with New Blood and asked to submit some photos for an article in the national press.
"I thought that there was no way I would really be in The Independent on Saturday," said Michaela.
"When I bought the paper, and flicked through it I was amazed to find a picture of one of my paintings with my name next to it being described as an emerging artist and a good investment. I was totally overwhelmed."
"Doing the MA has been the path on which I have walked back into my creativity. It is, and has been, an amazingly enriching experience.
"I am delighted although not complacent; I still have a long way to go with my paintings and want to make better and stronger work over this next year."
