A SPORTING stalwart at Ysgol Bro Gwaun has been recognised for her dedication to extra curricular sport with Fishguard Sports Girls Football.
Eiry Wyn Miles was awarded the prestigious High Sheriff of Dyfed Award for 2015 at a ceremony in Llandeilo on Saturday, February 28.
The award is given to people who make an outstanding contribution to their local community in Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
This was the second award Eiry has won in recent months as she also won the Contribution to School Sport Award at the Sport Pembrokeshire Awards.
5x60 Officer at Ysgol Bro Gwaun Dan Bellis said: "Everyone at the school and those involved with Fishguard Sports are delighted that Eiry’s continued hard work and commitment to providing opportunities for young people has been recognised and the reward is thoroughly deserved."
