ANYONE walking through Haverfordwest this past week will have done well not to notice the beautiful window decorations in a number of local shops.
Inspired by all things Welsh, members of The Haverfordwest Business Circle have been working hard on their window displays to coincide with the nation’s St David’s Day celebrations.
“This year we have encouraged businesses to embrace our culture and help our customers celebrate with us by dressing their shops,” said Donna Jones from the HBC.
“Between the Six Nations and St David’s Day, many businesses use this time to promote our proud nation and the HBC is keen to be involved and help showcase what we have here in Haverfordwest.”
In future years, the HBC is hoping to extend the St David’s Day celebrations beyond March 1 and start a Welsh week, where local businesses can promote local Welsh produce.
Donna added: “We’re all familiar with the phrase Cymru Am Byth, but we want to say Hwlfordd Am Byth too.”
Businesses participating in the window display include: Just nice, Purple Dragon, Musician’s World, Castle Photography, Tussie Mussie, The Ark, Emrys Art Supplies, The Pines, Sheep Shop, The Creative Café, HB Training, Bosanquet Jewllers, Howells, Munts Jewellers, Kuuqi, Welsh Bakery, Martins Record Shop, Teddybear Workshop, Spark, Brite Lites, Stitch Witch and Quay Street Sewing Centre.
