Like Councillor Guy Woodham, we feel that an important event such as Fish Week, which has an economic impact on the whole county, should never, ever depend on the health/ availability of one person.
We also think that the residents of Pembrokeshire should have had a say before the decision was made to cancel the event.
It happens far too often that people with power to affect the working lives and business success of others make themselves indispensable (and perhaps more expensive to employ?) and often fail to consult or delegate. We are very sorry for those whose interests have not been protected – and that our local economy will inevitably be damaged this year as a result.
There ought to be an enquiry.

IT is outrageous that the very popular fish week should be cancelled just because one member of staff at PCC is unable to run it any more. Surely there must be other staff or even outdoor event organisers who could take over the roll?
If PCC can run without a chief exec.surely the fish week can go ahead without Kate Morgan.
