WITH many of us bunged up and suffering from the sniffles, I’d like to remind your readers of the adage ‘Coughs and sneezes spread diseases’.
Simple hygiene measures such as covering your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and making sure you put used tissues in a bin as soon as possible can help reduce the risk of cold and flu spreading.
Regularly washing your hands with soap and water can also help you stop catching flu or passing it on to others.
These are simple steps that we can all take to help limit the spread of cold and flu and to make sure we are all keeping warm, safe and well during the winter months.
