MY fellow Pembrokeshire citizens. Following 26 years away at sea I have always thought that it is excellent belonging to this wonderful county of Pembrokeshire.
It is a place of fine resilient people built through an unreserved history and natural development of its entangled sea and landscape. I have always come back to see this sacred county, and all that it has stood for.
What is this county council doing? They must not get away with this, choosing to amalgamate fine district schools and making way for new schools. What is wrong with them?
Schools district competitions shall be lost. Don’t they know that the positive gains from competition are one of the most elementary processes in schools to select leaders, obtain self pride, accomplish teamwork and attain complete determination, objectives and achievement?
Merging schools that have historically always been at competitive levels is simply ridiculous. For example taking away competitive sport between schools is dangerous as it risks leaving our children unprepared for the gritty reality of day-to-day life, which often isn’t fair.
When we miss out on a high-quality jobs there’s no prize for second place.
We must keep our current system of district schools, to embrace and encourage our district schools to be the one in first place.
