Plans that could finally see Neyland Town Council sell its offices and move to the town’s Athletic Club will be on the agenda at a special meeting that is set to be held this evening (Monday).

The proposed move has been on the cards for many years but has never come about.

Now, however, the move looks set to come to fruition.

A proposal to sell off 60 to 62 High Street and invest the money in the club development was discussed by council and club representatives in a meeting last year.

The Athletic Club will be making a presentation to all councillors on Monday.

After this presentation, a final decision on the future of the council’s offices is expected.

Mayor Cllr Simon Hancock said it was vital that a decision could be made as soon as possible.

The meeting will be held at the High Street offices at 7pm on Monday, and is open to all members of the public to attend.
