Two sisters have returned to the classroom in their old village school, but this time it’s for baking and snacks rather than text books and maths.
Catherine and Emily Morley, of Hermon, have been working hard to convert an old class room in their old village school, ready for the launch of a new rural cafe business.
Ysgol Hermon closed in 2006. In 2013 it reopened as a community centre, Canolfan Hermon.
The sisters decided to name their cafe at the centre Cegin Bella after their grandmother, Bella Williams, who also attended the school.
The cafe’s official launch date is Saturday, February 14, at 3.30pm and all are welcome.
Cegin Bella opens from 8am to 5pm with occasional special evening of exotic food (it is not open Thursday and Sunday). It is also possible to order food in advance by phoning 01239 831337.
