A COMPANY which has offices in Pembroke Dock has announced it is to expand into the USA.

Unit Birwelco Group is an engineering and construction contractor, and thermal equipment manufacturer, with four UK offices.

Its decision to launch Birwelco USA Inc is the result of the company’s long-term commitment to support the needs of the heat transfer industry in the USA.

The company specialises in cutting-edge design, engineering, construction and maintenance solutions for the energy, chemical and petrochemical, refinery and utility industries.

It has worked on projects for both Murco Petroleum and South Hook LNG in Milford Haven.

Headquartered in Houston Texas, Birwelco USA will initially focus on supporting the north American refining, petrochemical and energy markets.

Walter Gull - globally recognised as a leading expert in the fired heater and furnace industry– will be the president of Birwelco USA Inc.

Unit Birwelco Group managing director Malcolm Oliver said: "We are delighted to be able to announce our plans for Birwelco USA under Walter Gull’s leadership.
