PEMBROKE Town Council is calling on residents to put forward nominations for the town’s annual civic awards scheme.
Civic awards are presented to people and organisations that go above and beyond what is expected of them to make a difference to the community. A civic award is the highest accolade the town council can bestow.
This year’s categories include: service to the community; environmental work; fundraising; voluntary work; service to the arts, sport, education or heritage; or someone who has displayed acts of bravery or courage.
Nominations will go to an awards panel which will select the winners from each category.
Nominations must be made in writing by Monday, March 3. Forms are available from Pembroke Town Hall or can be sent out by email or post.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Pembroke Town Hall Thursday, May 1.
For more information or a nomination form email suzie@pembstowncouncil.plus.com or virginia@pembstowncouncil.plus.com, or call the town hall on 01646 683092.
