Cooking up some new tastes on a traditional favourite is Sarah Jones of St Clears.
The professional caterer has recently launched a range of Welsh cakes with a difference, following help from business support and start-up project Dewis Menter
Flavours such as chocolate and orange, lemon and poppy seed and pecan and toffee are used by Sarah to serve up Blasus - Welsh Cakes with a Twist, which have gained a firm following at food festivals and festive markets.
Dewis Menter, which has a team of mentors from the various business sectors, and holds events and workshops throughout rural Carmarthenshire, gave marketing and website support to Sarah, who also gained a Local Investment Fund grant to buy extra commercial catering equpment.
