GETTING back to nature is the theme behind a Pembroke event.
On February 20 the Pembroke Millponds Education Project will hold a wildlife event at Foundry House, Orange Way, Pembroke, from 6:30pm.
Commentary from a local wildlife expert will accompany footage captured from the project's camera network, and there will be other talks to enjoy. The winner of the wildlife photo competition will also be announced.
Education officer Bethan Lloyd said: “This event will be really exciting, bringing together people with an interest in local wildlife to find out what wildlife might be hiding in their back garden.
“It will be perfect for getting people involved with their local wildlife, both seasoned wildlife enthusiasts and anyone who wants to learn.
“It’s going to be a fantastic opportunity to show off all the amazing entries to the photo competition which we’re running and to announce the winner.
“The competition is free to enter and doesn’t close until February 13, so if you’ve got any last minute entries just email them to bethan@pembroke21c.org.uk.”
The event – which is part of a wider education project run by Pembroke 21C Community Association, focused on Pembroke Millponds and Holyland Wood - is free and suitable for all the family. There will also be light refreshments available.
Keep an eye out for other exciting activities being run through the project.
