Pembroke Ladies Probus Club held its AGM and first anniversary lunch on January 15 at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel, Pembroke Dock.
The 2013 president and founder member Sandra Thompson, opened the meeting introducing her husband Mac Thompson, who personally donated and presented Sandra and the club with a president's badge of office.
Sandra started the meeting by reflecting on a very positive first year. Founding members Sandra, Evelyn MacCallum, Dawn Homfray and Monica Vanner, encouraged by their husbands who belong to the men's probus, decided to form the club just over a year ago. It now has 50 members.
Sandra concluded her address by thanking the present committee for their enthusiasm and hard work in the past year. Members enjoyed thinking back to all the fascinating guests and activities over the last year.
The new president, vice president and committee were proposed. Monica Vanner was delighted to be elected as the 2014 president and Dawn Homfray as vice president.
Sandra presented the president's badge of office to Monica. The meeting closed and members enjoyed a lunch.
