FIRST year construction students at Coleg Ceredigion recently rolled up their sleeves to help clean up storm damage in north Pembrokeshire.
Led by tutor Adrian Varney, the group cleared more than 30 tonnes of shingle and sand that had washed up on the car park by the Parrog beach in Newport.
The students also helped to remove rocks on the slipway that had blocked access to the beach.
“It was really fulfilling to see our students so motivated and keen to help and clean up following the recent storm damage,” said Adrian.
“It’s great to see students displaying such a positive attitude towards helping the local community.”
