A VARIETY of free seven-week courses for people aged 16 plus are due to start.
The courses have been organised by Green Links Community Interest Company (CIC) - a Pembroke-based social enterprise which delivers vocational skills training throughout the county.
Six courses are available. A yoga course at Yoga Satsanga Ashram, near Login, Whitland, starts today (Wednesday, January 29), from 9.30am to 12.30pm. To book a place call 01437 562200 or email ashramwales@gmail.com.
An arts and crafts course starts tomorrow (Thursday, January 30) at Pennar Community Hall, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Introduction to animal care will run on Saturday mornings, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, at Glan-y-Mor Farm, Pembroke School, from February 1.
A manicure and creative nail art course will run from February 8 at the Skills Centre, Pembroke School, every Saturday, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
A vehicle maintenance course is to be held at the Skills Centre, Pembroke School, on Saturdays, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, starting February 8.
Welsh language courses will start in early April.
The courses are free to people working less than 16 hours per week or those who are unemployed for health reasons, and not on the UK Work Programme or Work Choice.
Help is available for child or adult care costs and travel costs. Spaces limited.
