STATION A set the questions in the twelfth round of the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock quiz league.
But there were no favours for the Station B who lost to the Alma A by nine points to nil, inflicting the first defeat of the season on the league leaders.
At St Govan’s the visiting Oak side snatched victory on the last question to win by just four points, while First and Last returned home victorious after a win against Charlton A.
Alma B suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of the Golf Club, the night’s highest scorers, while at the Naval Club the visiting Charlton B struggled and came away empty handed.
The final tie of the night was at the Brewery Inn, Cosheston, where the home side recovered from last week’s upset by overcoming the visiting St Govan’s A.
Quiz coordinator David Gledhill said: “I would like to thank those teams who comment on their games on the returned score cards and would encourage all teams to do this as it makes much more interesting reading.”
The week’s results were: Charlton A 65, First & Last 68; St Govan’s B 65, Oak 69; Cosh Brewery 67, St Govan’s A 48; Naval Club 71, Charlton B 42; Alma A 33, Golf Club 77; Station B 66, Alma A 75.
Station B remain at the top of the table on 30 points, followed by Station A on 27, Cosh Brewery on 24, Charlton A and First & Last on 21, and the Alma A and Oak on 18.
