The latest round of the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock quiz league was set by the Oak and provided some close games and surprise results.
In a tight finish at Cosh Brewery, visitors St Govan’s B snatched victory by just two points.
Meanwhile at the Charlton, Alma B went home with a convincing win over the home B team.
Alma A entertained the First & Last in a good contest which saw the visitors come away with a comfortable win.
The highest scorers on the night were the Naval Club, who saw off St Govan’s A with a total of 80 points.
At home Station A took on Charlton A with the visitors suffering a heavy defeat.
But who can derail the Station B machine at the top? The league leaders made the journey to the Golf Club where the home side gave them a fright. But in the end Station B continued their winning ways by just four points.
The week’s results were: St Govan’s A 50, Naval Club 80; Charlton B 64, Alma B 77; Alma A 61, First & Last 72; Station A 72, Charlton A 50; Golf Club 63, Station B 67; Cosh Brewery 58, St Govan’s B 60.
This leaves Station B at the top of the table on 30 points, followed by Station A 27, Cosh Brewery and the Charlton A on 21 points, and First & Last with 18.
