IT’S all change at one Pembroke School.
The New Year has seen nine new pupils join Golden Grove School, as well as a few other changes.
Year five pupils were invited to the ASK (Acquiring Skills and Knowledge) after school club on Mondays and an Apple club on Tuesdays.
For the first four weeks of the ASK club, the children will learn about different foods and how to prepare them.
At the first Apple club session, pupils were busy getting to grips with Apple Macs and laying the ground work for a giant apple tree display in the school library.
Six pupils have joined the successful Green Links project. Work has been done to prepare the woodland before laying a new access bridge over a boggy part of the path.
Pupils from years three to six will be taking part in Rotary’s photography and writing competitions and year four are working hard to promote an event in February (details to follow shortly).
A drive to promote school attendance is in place and a trophy is being presented each week to the class with the best attendance. Green Class won a trophy for 99.3% attendance in the first week of term.
