A TOP fundraiser from Haverfordwest has been presented with a trophy for raising the most amount of individual sponsorship at the 2013 Dawn Walk in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Last May, Tessa Phillips was among hundreds of walkers who set out from Pembroke Castle to complete the 26-mile challenge.
Tessa, a breast cancer nurse specialist for Macmillan at Withybush Hospital, raised nearly £600.
The event, which was sponsored by Valero, raised a total of £23,000 for the cancer charity.
Tessa was presented with the Valero trophy for the most sponsorship by an individual, while Lampeter-based Volac Blossoms won the Valero trophy for most sponsorship raised by a group.
The Pembrokeshire Committee of Macmillan Cancer Support is asking walkers to save the date for this year's Dawn Walk, which will take place on Sunday, May 18. Online registration is due to go live shortly.
