A PEMBROKE town councillor is to become an honorary member of the First Battalion of the Welsh Guards.
At December’s town council meeting Councillor David Boswell told members he had been in discussions with a sergeant about the possibility of Cllr Aden Brinn becoming an honorary member.
Cllr Boswell said an agreement had been reached and the documents would be presented shortly.
“For once in my life I’s lost for words and I hope you will believe that,” Cllr Brinn said. “I feel very proud. The Welsh Guards, though I never served in the regiment, is something very close to my heart.”
The announcement was given following Cllr Brinn’s update on the Welsh Guards.
“I think we all want to know how they are progressing,” he added.
