A 71 year-old man had a lucky escape this afternoon (Thursday) after falling into the water at Neyland Marina while working on his boat.
The casualty was rescued by a passer-by who had heard calls for help.
The gentleman, local to the Narberth area, was taken to Withybush hospital by land ambulance as a precaution.
A spokesman for Milford Haven Coastguard said they received a call for assistance from ambulance control at 1.38pm.
The spokesman added: "This could so easily have been a different outcome had his calls not been heard from land as he was in the lower basin of the marina with no other persons around when the incident happened.
"He had been in the water some 15 minutes when he was rescued.
"A lucky man."
