As the heading says, Christmas is the time of peace and goodwill to all men.
However, I cannot include in that, the person who cut down the Christmas tree that the Johnston Community Council planted on the piece of grass at the entrance to Glebelands.
It was growing to be used for the Christmas lights in future years.
I love tasteful Christmas lights (a euphemism meaning, I LOATHE the tacky lights you often see on some people's houses!).
However, for someone to cut down the tree for their own private use has deprived the WHOLE village its tree that would have given joy to everyone, when it had reached a suitable size.
How can they live with themselves for depriving the whole community, of its property as it belonged to me as much as anyone else Johnston? But I am not so selfish that it must go in my lounge, for my own personal enjoyment.
How selfish and I hope they can be named and shamed.
I hope all the needles have fallen off! Anyone who knows me will realise that I have been very restrained in my comments, so as not to cause any offence. But you get the drift.
