Isn’t it amazing how much better we feel when the sun is shining? We have had a week of beautiful days full of sunshine, even if they have been a bit chilly! The suns energy is masculine, very energising which makes us feel more productive and fired up. We feel as if we have more energy and are able to tackle things we may have been putting off. Make the most of the sunshine, and put your energy to good use, go for a long walk, do some gardening, enjoy some fresh air. When outdoors, take some really deep breaths, as deep as you can, and really push your breath put, imagine exhaling any stale air from your lungs, and imagine exhaling any tension or worries at the same time. When you breathe in, imagine you are filling your lungs and body with fresh, positive energy, as well as fresh air Next weekend, on Saturday March 20, is the Spring Equinox. It is when day and night are of equal length and is the astrological New Year, as the sun moves into Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. New cycles begin, a time to make a fresh start, start new projects and to grab any chance that you are offered. I read about a lovely idea to celebrate the Spring Equinox, and to give you a boost for the year ahead. On March 20, hold some sunflower seeds and silently think of an area in your life you want to grow and flourish. It may be career or relationship based or anything you want to develop. Plant the seeds and look after them well so that the flowers, and your ideas, grow and flourish.
This Sunday is Mothers Day, and I went to my son’s assembly this morning, which was all about mums and how great they are! Performed by a class of seven and eight year olds, it was the perfect mix of sheer delight, as our children told us how much they love us, and sheer horror as pictures of us mums were projected onto the wall in front of the whole school! Mine was taken on a family holiday to Menorca, I was tanned and smiling, so thank goodness it was half decent!
I count my blessings daily, as mum to three wonderful children, and also give thanks to my fantastic mum for always being there for me. Have a great weekend, count your blessings, whatever they may be, and Happy Mothers Day!
