I see over 57% (which would equate to 16m) UK workers do not expect to get a payrise this year.
A further 9 million expect a below inflation increase.
As Pembrokeshire County Council and the Dyfed-Powys Police Authority pat themselves on the back for above inflationary Council Tax increases, we havent heard any signs that times are tough at County Hall (or Police HQ) that they are sharing in the tough times that the public are facing!
No mention has been made of job cuts, or cuts to services which gives the impression of "I'm alright Jack!" .... but its you thats going to have to pay more as your net pay continues to fall.
We have heard words of empathy which could be seen as hollow, but can we rally feel sorry for them as we all know that if we dont pay, they will take you to court and send the bailiffs round without a care in the world of the suffering of the Council Tax payers.... and I mean those who actually pay for the Council Tax out of their bank accounts.
When will County Hall (and the Police) actually start to share the pain that many have had to, over the last 2 years?
