I just want to thank the driver of the old reddish/orange car than came down Merlins Hill and obviously went through the red light at the second set of lights at Merlins Bridge roundabout and cut me up so that I managed to stop with inches to spare. This was just before 3pm today.
As the lights were green when I drove through them, coming from Freemans Way and in the lane to go to Johnston, with at least one more car right behind me, the last thing you expect is a car to coming shooting right in front of you, heading for the Pembroke Road.
I may have had a fright as well as the car behind me, in addition to the occupants of the car that went right in front of me.
At least I have good brakes and acted quickly otherwise the passengers on the LHS would now be in hospital.
I trust the driver looks at the lights more carefully in future as red means stop!
