Today an event to encourage local businesses to make fuller use of Internet technology will be held in the Technium centre in Pembroke Dock. Business leaders and experts will explain how smaller enterprises can use information technology to transform their business operations. I would encourage local business people to attend this event especially as it is free of charge as well.
These roadshows will provide guidance on the benefits of adopting e-Business to improve processes and business competitiveness, including details of a number of projects managed by the Assembly Government with support of European structural funds. Businesses will receive advice on how they can streamline working practices such as ordering, invoicing, production processes or stock control and support and enhance crucial elements like marketing and customer relationship management – transforming the way they do business and the returns they achieve.
The Internet has enormous impact on our economy, with advances in information and communications technology transforming the way businesses operate across the world and that’s why I think is important that local business people attend these sort of events in order to take advantage of the expert advice at hand.
