I visited the National Library of Wales at Aberystwyth this afternoon. This is a truly great facility where visitor numbers have increased to 100,000 last year and have doubled in the last 5 years. The Library is doing some tremendous work and it is now trying to raise its profile even further by expanding its electronic services and placing more archives on the internet. This will undoubtedly attract even more visitors as people will want to see the archives for themselves. The dedication, commitment and enthusiasm of the staff is second to none. No wonder the number of visitors increase every year.
