It has been reported today that Wetherspoon, the national pub chain has decided to limit people frequenting their premises with children to two drinks. This is apparently an attempt to encourage parents to spend better quality time with their children. Their policy is a brave one and seems to me quite sensible in attempting to encourage parents to act responsibly. Not so long ago I remember being in a pub where some parents were there with a very small baby and drinking heavily. This particular policy will certainly avoid this irresponsible behaviour and will hopefully encourage other landlords to follow Wetherspoon's example.
