I have had the privilege of being drawn in the private members short debate in the Assembly chamber this week. I had no hesitation but to put forward the case for dualling of the A40 into Pembrokeshire. Afterall, I was elected in May because dualling of the A40 was one of my main election campaign pledges. This debate will take place at an opportune time bearing in mind that the First Minister has just recently ruled out its dualling. Rhodri Morgan forgets that both Angela Burns and myself were elected campaigning for dualling of the A40 and that this was one of our top priorities.
