The Big State Theatre Company is bringing a Victorian rebel to Manorbier with a performance of The Fire Starter on Friday, November 14th.

The Fire Starter is an irreverent romp through the extraordinary life of 19th nineteenth century Welsh arch druid and doctor, William Price. A pagan, Price played his flute naked, had children outside wedlock and shocked the Victorians by cremating his dead relatives. This hilarious comedy features more than 25 characters, all performed by three versatile actors.

Director John Nicholson brings a heavy dose of ridiculous humour to this true story of a Victorian rebel.

This event is hosted by MADCAP, Manorbier and District Community Arts Programme with support from the Arts Council of Wales night out scheme and Pembrokeshire County Council.

The show at Manorbier Community Centre, Skrinkle, is aimed at people aged over 14 as it contains some adult themes. For more information and tickets (£6 or £5) contact Angela on 01834 871931/07773 856079 or e-mail angengage.rogers@virgin.net.
