WT MUSIC takes a look at some of the best gigs coming to the county this spring.

Kicking off the new year, this Thursday (January 9) acoustic duo Fiddlebox play Cuffern Manor, Roch.

And continuing the acoustic theme, Jonski, Kyle Kirkhouse, Derren Heath, Jared Richey, Average Jo and Jasmine Rogers will play stripped-back sets at a free gig at Labyrinth, Haverfordwest, on the same night.

After their success supporting Exit Wound in Llanelli a couple of months ago, Soft Toy Assassins will once again be supporting the guys at Labyrinth in Haverfordwest on January 16.

Rounding off the month, this year’s annual Aquarian Party at the Queens Hall, Narberth, on January 24, will feature the red-hot DJ skills of Mr Benn and the vocal power of Eva Lazarus.

With a mix of digital reggae, dancehall, soca, ska and hip-hop, and dub, it’s a great way to see in 2014 in style.

In February, Phil Beer will play Burnetts Hill Chapel, Martletwy, on Thursday 13.

London-based jazz trumpeter Kevin Davey will play the Dingle Club, Narberth, on February 19, as part of SpanJazz’s regular sessions.

Narberth’s annual A Cappella Voice Festival take place on February 22 and 23, with a weekend of unique performances and singing workshops sure to pull in the crowds.

On Thursday, March 6, Les Barker comes to Cuffern Manor, and dynamic bluegrass combo The Coal Porters are due to play at Burnetts Hill Chapel, Martletwy, on Friday April 25th.
