ENERGETIC singer-songwriter Rye Milligan is inviting fans to put on their dancing shoes for the launch of his debut album.
This Friday (January 10) at Small World Theatre, Cardigan, the 18-year-old will launch his first full-length album, which was recorded last summer with producer and friend Oli Morgan, of Red Worm Studios.
Hailing from Ceredigon, Rye has been lucky enough to support some big names already, such as The Skints, Gentlemen's Dub Club, Goldie Lookin' Chain, and playing the main stage at Nozstock Festival before Chas and Dave.
Rye uses his loop pedal for live performances which allows him to create thick textured songs. Playing all the instruments himself and manipulating the loop pedal makes for a mesmerising, high-energy live performance.
“Put on your dancing shoes and come help me launch my career and debut album! I’m jumping and I need you with me,” said Rye.
In 2012, Rye released a six-track EP called IMPACT, with the title tracks lyrics raising awareness of domestic abuse, and a contribution from the EP's sales was donated to the Welsh Women's Aid charity.
Doors Open at 7.30pm, tickets £6 or £10 with CD £6 Ticket if pre-booked from ryemilligan.ticketsource.co.uk
