SOUTH Wales duo 'Fiddlebox' come to Cuffern Manor in Roch for a night of acoustic music this Thursday (January 9)
With George Whitfield on accordion and vocals and Helen Adam on fiddle and vocals, they create a full and distinctive sound, showing the influence of the rock, classical and folk styles in which they work.
Their programmes include traditional Welsh, Irish, American, and Klesmer music as well as self-penned songs and tunes, all delivered in an informal and entertaining style.
A bilingual band, they are keen to promote the beautiful music and song of Wales in a fresh and accessible way.
In the last year, the duo’s travels have seen them perform at the Wales Millenium Centre, the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, Sea Fair Haven, the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, Semaine du Golfes in Brittany and Dunbrody New Ross County Wexford in Ireland.
A favourite at barn dances, Ceilidhs and twmpaths, George and Helen take the audience on a real musical journey.
Their special guest for the evening will be Harriet Earis.
Tickets are £8, and the performance starts at 7.30pm.
