Haverfordwest County have released a statement after parting company with manager Sean Cresser.
The news has come as a shock to many, with the Bluebirds having won their opening three league games, scoring 15 goals to boot and conceding just once.
They have also progressed in the League Cup after beating Llanelli Town 3-0 - but it appears the sacking is due to off the field matters.
"Haverfordwest County have parted company with Sean Cresser citing several differences of opinion," said a club spokesman.
"Although the club have made a good start to the season on the field, it was the opinion of the board that, at this stage, a new style of management was required.
"The club would like to thank Sean for his hard work and loyalty these past six seasons."
Cresser served for four years as assistant manager before taking joint-charge with Chris O’Sullivan for the 2016/17 campaign.
He then took sole charge for the 2017/18 season, and led the Bluebirds to a second placed finish.
