Farmers from Pembrokeshire have scooped a host of Royal Welsh Society awards this year.

As well as Roger Mathias winning the agri-environment award, Arfon Phillips, of Ty Mawr, Llanfyrnach has won the Dr Emrys Evans Award, one of the society’s most sought-after prizes.

The award is given to people who have contributed in an exceptional way to rural skills.

Haydn Rees Parry, of Clynderwen, has been awarded a long service medal after working at Penrallt, Mynachlogddu for 32 years and Fferm y Capel for 18 years.

Also, Laurence Harris, of Ffosyficer, Abercych, has been made an associate of the Royal Agricultural Societies.

The winners will receive their awards at the Royal Welsh Show.
