A Tenby care worker who suffered from anxiety and depression took her own life by swallowing a cocktail of pills, the coroner for Pembrokeshire heard last Thursday.
Raydene Julie Hollins, aged 49, lived alone at Lower Park, Tenby, after splitting up from her husband.
The couple had divorced but rekindled their relationship before separating again in January 2011.
An inquest heard that in 2010 Mrs Hollins suffered from increased anxiety, depression and insomnia.
She was believed to have taken an overdose of pills at Christmas 2010.
Mrs Hollins’ mother and her son said that after the second break up Mrs Hollins had been feeling low and would sometimes say that she didn’t know how she could go on.
However, neither thought she would take her own life.
On September 26th Mrs Hollins’ colleagues contacted police as she had missed her shift.
Officers broke into the premises and found her on the living room floor.
There were pills in a bowl on the coffee table and on the floor. Several notes were found.
A post-mortem found a mixture of drugs in her blood, with a concentration of an anti-depressant that would have caused death.
Pembrokeshire coroner Mark Layton gave the cause of death as a combination of an overdose of a prescribed drug with other drugs. He concluded that Mrs Hollins took her own life.
