A van fire broke out on a key Carmarthenshire road sparking an emergency response from two fire crews yesterday (September 29).
At 1.56pm, crews from Tumble and Pont-iets tackled an incident at Heol Caegwyn in Drefach.
The van was well-alight on arrival before services used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and left the scene at 2.59pm.
A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 1.56pm on Sunday, September 29, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Tumble and Pont-iets Fire Stations were called to an incident along Heol Caegwyn in Drefach.
“Crews responded to one private motor vehicle that was well alight on their arrival.
“Crews utilised one breathing apparatus set, two hose reel jets, one thermal imaging cameras and cutters and spreaders to extinguish the fire. Crews left the scene at 2.59pm.”
